Why we started Nhaka Tech
The name Nhaka comes from the Shona word for inheritance and legacy. It reflects what we believe infrastructure should be: something future generations of engineers can build on, not something they have to rip out and replace.
After nearly two decades working across African ISPs, European cloud platforms and Caribbean carriers, we noticed a consistent gap: organisations in emerging markets were getting generic cloud advice designed for mature Western enterprises, without the nuance of local connectivity constraints, procurement realities and regulatory environments.
Nhaka Tech was founded to close that gap — bringing AWS-native cloud architecture and carrier-grade network engineering to the organisations that are building Africa and EMEA's digital future, from ISPs in Zimbabwe to SaaS companies in London.
Every engagement starts with listening. Every deliverable is built to be owned by your team, not maintained by us indefinitely. That's the legacy we're building.
